Privacy Policy

K-Saju Journal is a reading-only blog. There are no accounts, no login, no comment section, and no newsletter sign-up — so there is nothing here for you to hand us your personal details through. What follows is an honest account of the little data that is involved anyway, most of it collected by third parties rather than by us.

1. Information we collect directly

None. We do not ask for, or store, your name, email address, birth details, or any other personal information on this blog. We operate no database here.

This is separate from our main service at k-saju.me, which does have accounts and readings and is covered by its own privacy policy. Nothing you do on this blog is linked to an account on that service.

2. Advertising and cookies

This blog is supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense to display ads.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info, or block cookies entirely in your browser settings. The blog works fine with cookies blocked.
• For readers in the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland, ad personalization and cookie use are governed by Google's consent mechanism, and you may be shown a consent prompt before personalized ads are served.

We do not control what these vendors collect, and we do not receive your personal data from them — only aggregate, anonymous performance reports (impressions, clicks, revenue). More detail is in Google's “How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services” .

3. Hosting and technical logs

The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel processes standard technical request data (IP address, browser user agent, requested URL, timestamp) in order to serve pages and protect against abuse. We do not use these logs to identify or profile individual readers. See Vercel's privacy policy.

Web fonts are self-hosted and served from our own domain, so reading this site does not send a request to Google Fonts.

4. Analytics

We do not run Google Analytics or any other visitor-tracking script on this blog. We do use Google Search Console, which reports aggregate, anonymous search statistics (queries, impressions, clicks) to us from Google's own data — it does not place anything on your device.

5. Links to other sites

Articles link out to k-saju.me and occasionally to other sites. Once you follow a link, that site's own privacy policy applies; we are not responsible for their practices.

6. Your choices and rights

Because we hold no personal data about you from this blog, there is generally nothing for us to access, correct, export, or delete. For the data handled by advertising vendors, use the opt-out links in section 2 or your browser's cookie controls. If you believe we hold data about you and you want it removed, write to us at the address below and we will look into it.

7. Children

This site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

8. Changes to this policy

If our setup changes — for example if we add analytics or a newsletter — we will update this page and revise the “Last updated” date at the top.
